Memory Forest is centered around the idea of memory, and the recall of memories. Every recall of a memory reconstructs the event, mixing it, and reframing it with other experiences. The main element of the installation is a series of ceiling hangings that are made from fabrics - discarded sheets and clothing etc. They are all braided and knotted together, with found object inclusions.
Throughout the “forest” there are augmented reality trackers. When scanned using Augment app these trackers will lead audiences to digital objects, online games or online content which can be accessed through smartphones.
This work was installed at Ignition Project Space in the Spring of 2019.
